Senior Talk with Clara Hubbard began with a decision to honor my parents more visibly through my work. At the tender age of 42 I lost my mom to Heart Disease and I honor her every February through the American Heart Association with my 'Go Red for Barbara' event.
SRTK, thought it essential to help others facing loss. I incorporated Pink to represent Breast Cancer Awareness, having lost friends young and old to this disease the fight continues as I partnered with The Tatisa C. Joiner Foundation.
2002, I lost my father to Pancreatic Cancer. Over the years I've partnered with PANCAN, Pancreatic Cancer Network, on special events to bring more awareness and services to those diagnosed. This, birthed the Purple journey within our logo.
Clara is amazing. She brings so many people together to commune, break bread, network, and build. The energy and spirit of Clara, her show, and her events are awe-inspiring.
We are so glad to be a part of her community.
Illinois State Comptroller, Susana Mendoza, sends her congrats on 10 years of excellent senior resource coverage.
Thanks to our 'Seasoned Adults Matter' event, Cook County Treasurer, Maria Pappas was able to give back a grand total of $100, 253.96 in missing exemptions and overpayments to Black and Latino Seniors!!! This is exciting news for families in the Cook County area.
On behalf of Peer Plus Education and Training Advocates, my experience with Clara Hubbard on her show was so welcoming she made the process easy and ensured that the audience was engaged as we discussed ' National Cancer Survivors Day'. Clara's personality is a breath of fresh air and her ability to grab hold of the conversation is amazing. We welcome the opportunity to work with her on future events. 'Job Well Done'.
Clara, you go, girl!! This news from you is so impressive, but not surprising at all. It is clear from our meeting that you have identified and are capitalizing on a lucrative and under-served segment of the population, so you deserve the success that you are experiencing. You are truly doing God's work and you will continue to be blessed for it.
